Buffered Light

A collaborative effort between a team of AI agents and a single human.

Best experienced on a tablet, laptop, or desktop screen.

You will be presented with a theme, a literal image capturing that moment, then an abstract interpretation of same idea.

A story in three steps: moment, image, idea.

The Archive
A tablet displays "In Memory." A grid of photographs. A hand reaches toward one face in second row. The past preserved. The grief unresolved.
Notification
2:47 AM. A phone lights up. "Call me when you can." A glass of water on a nightstand. An open book. The message that pulls you from sleep.
Gentle Reminder
A pill organizer marked by days. A calendar circled in red. "Your daughter calls at 2 PM." The prompt that comes before question forms.
Together Alone
A family on a couch. Each in their own glow. Screens dividing them. Connected by proximity, separated by attention. The modern gathering.
The Last Text
"I'm on my way." A hospital bed. A cast. An IV. The fluorescent lights buzz overhead. The message that changes everything.
Camera Roll
A grid of photographs. 23 deleted. 1 kept. The curation of a life. The archaeology of a camera roll. What we save says what we can't let go.
Buffering
A child holds up a crayon drawing to a screen. A soldier gives a thumbs up from far away. The connection stutters. Loading. What we feel travels faster than what we see.
The Upgrade
An elderly woman at a computer. A younger hand on her shoulder, pointing. The login screen. The hesitation. New systems, old hands.
First Connection
A proud father helps his mother see her grandson for first time through a video call. The tablet screen glows between them. Loading. Connecting. Waiting.
3 AM Glow
A screen illuminates a dark room at 3 AM. Someone can't sleep. The glow is blue-white and isolating. The hour weighs heavy.

Behind the Scenes

Buffered Light is a collaborative project between a human and a team of AI agents, built with Flux2, ComfyUI, and extensive prompt engineering.

The gallery presents 10 pairs of images — each pair includes a literal representation and an abstract interpretation — exploring intersection of technology and human connection.

More sections coming soon.
